Apple has apparently entered mass production for the second generation of its in-house Silicon processor for its upcoming MacBook Pro models that are expected to launch in the second half of this year.
According to an AppleInsider report, sources told NikkeiAsia that the M2 processor has entered volume production earlier this month. As per people familiar with the matter, it is possible that shipments could begin as early as July. The sources also stated that the new processors will first be seen in the new MacBook Pro models. Similar to the M1 processor back when it launched, the Cupertino-based giant is expected to launch the new processor across a wider range of products later.
